šŸ“² Adding IrisCX as an Icon to your Home Screen

How to add IrisCX to the home screen of your device so it acts like an app

Access to IrisCX is only possible through your dedicated workspace URL—there’s no generic login page. To ensure you can easily return to your workspace anytime, the best approach is to add the URL to your device’s home screen or desktop. This creates an app-like shortcut, making it fast and convenient to launch IrisCX wherever you are, just like opening a native app.

Here's how to Add IrisCX to various devices:

Mobile (Phone/Tablet)

Desktop

Mobile - Android (Chrome)

  1. Launch the Chrome browser on your mobile device
  2. Enter your workspace URL (e.g. https://yourcompany.iriscx.com)
  3. Tap the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen to open the menu
  4. Select Add to Home Screen
  5. You’ll be prompted to name the shortcut before adding it
  6. Tap "Add" to add the shortcut to your home screen

  2. Tap the Share icon:
  3. On iPhone: Located at the bottom center of the screen.
  4. On iPad: Found in the top-right toolbar.
  5. In the share menu, scroll down and select Add to Home Screen.
  6. Optionally, rename the icon (e.g., "IrisCX"), then tap Add.

Mobile - iOS (Chrome)

Note: Due to Apple’s restrictions on third-party browsers, Chrome on iOS does not support full "Add to Home Screen" functionality. For the best experience, we recommend using Safari on iOS, which supports Progressive Web App (PWA) installation and opens IrisCX in a standalone, app-like view.

Desktop - Mac (Chrome)

  1. Open Chrome and go to your IrisCX workspace URL (e.g. https://yourworkspace.iriscx.com)

  2. Click the three-dot menu (ā‹®) in the top-right corner of the browser

  3. Hover over ā€œCast, Save, and Shareā€

  4. Click on ā€œInstall Page as Appā€¦ā€

  5. When prompted, click Install

šŸ’” Chrome will now create an app-like version of IrisCX that opens in a clean, browser-free window.
